The classification of remedies by “kingdom “(plant, animal, mineral &c) & “family” has entered into contemporary homeopathic dogma, both in approaches to prescribing and in the organization of and approaches to our study of the homeopathic materia medica.
In this 7-week course (Thursdays, 4:30-6:30pm US Pacific time; click here for time & date of session 1 in your timezone), we'll closely examine approaches to the natural classification of our materia medica, examining the proposed promises of this approach, as well as technical and practical obstacles & issues in application. We’ll closely examine the natural classifications of the substances we employ in healing, and how these classifications might profitably inform their uses in healing, as well as some pitfalls & perils in this approach. Each week we’ll explore an aspect of this topic, illustrated with cases from Will’s clinical experience & from the classical & contemporary literature.
Will is well-positioned to present this material, having authored the Families Repertory database & Families analysis interfaces used in the RADAR/RADAR Opus & Encyclopedia Homeopathica software packages.
